University Archives - Image Database

Introduction
The EKU Archives Image Database contains hundreds of scanned images and/or descriptive information from various collections housed in the Archives. In addition to photographs, you will find scans of documents, postcards, patriotic envelopes, broadsides and other printed material. Many items have not yet been scanned but descriptive information has been entered for reference purposes. If an entry does not contain a matching scanned image but you would like to see the image, please e-mail the Image Number and Collection name to us at archives.library@eku.edu or call (859) 622-1792. We will endeavor to have a scan of that item on the web within five working days. Photographic reprints or electronic versions are available for a fee. Please see Photo Order Information.

Search Tips

You may enter several keywords but the search will be in the order the words are entered. For example: entering Abraham Lincoln may produce fewer results than Lincoln, Abraham because the Name field and Creator field use last name first. On the other hand entering Lincoln alone may produce even more results because entries such as “Lincoln County” or “Mary Todd Lincoln” match the keyword in the search request. Do not use any kind of quotation marks in the search box.
