EKU Features Local Open Access Journals

Did you know that EKU and EKU Libraries publish five open access peer reviewed journals? Visit Encompass, the University's institutional repository, to enjoy EKU faculty edited journals ranging in theme from college teaching and learning to creative writing to Africa.  The Journal of Military Experience was recently mentioned in The New York Times and provides veterans with a venue for creative expression and sustains a dialogue that helps bridge the gap between military and civilian cultures.  PRISM: A Journal of Regional Engagement is created in the Office of Regional Stewardship and is devoted to promoting a culture of engagement between the university and region through the creation, application, and integration of knowledge.

Visit Encompass and learn more about submitting an article or to read full issues of the publications. EKU Libraries began publishing open access journals in 2011 and have 11,026 full text downloads to date.
