Friends Executive Board Spotlight: Carol Rogow

Carol Rogow’s love for libraries began at a young age – one of her favorite memories is participation in a children’s summer reading program at her local public library.  An alumna of University of Arkansas, Rogow has a Master's of Science degree in Education and is retired from a career as a Library Media Specialist at Drake Middle School in Auburn, Alabama.  Her passion for libraries has continued to the benefit of Eastern Kentucky University, where she has served faithfully as a Friends of EKU Libraries Executive Board member since 2009.  In her years of service, she has seen many exciting Libraries’ initiatives come to life, including the Business Library & Academic Commons and the Noel Studio for Academic Creativity, which she notes as the library developments that have inspired her most.  To those considering becoming a Friend of EKU Libraries, Rogow explains, “[Being a Friend is] a great way to become acquainted with others who enjoy books and reading and is an avenue to promote library services on campus.”
