- We will gladly search our electronic collections for journal articles at the instructor's request. However if we do not possess the item, it is the instructor's responsibility to provide us with HIGH quality photocopies of the documents (we will notify instructors via telephone or e-mail if this is the situation). Instructors may also submit items for electronic reserves either by sending files in Microsoft Word or .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) format on disk, or via e-mail. No alternative formats will be accepted at this time i.e. Access, Excel, PowerPoint, music, video, hand-written documents, etc.
- We ask that all photocopies are single page, not duplex (two pages of a book reduced in size to fit on one photocopy).
- The instructor may choose to have their materials returned to them or discarded - whichever is preferred.
- There is a 15-20 page limit on per article. Longer reserves will be broken down into smaller units - designated as pt.1, pt.2, etc. Large file sizes can greatly affect download and print speed.
- At this time reserve items will be available in black and white format only. Most campus printers have black and white printing capabilities only.
- Articles placed on electronic reserve will not be duplicated in paper reserve.
- A password will be required to access all electronic reserves. The library will designate a new password at the beginning of each semester. Password information will be given to the instructor upon receipt of the reserve request form. It is the instructor's responsibility to provide their students with the current password information.
- We also have assistance available for instructors who would like to link electronic reserves into their Blackboard classes.
