Who are the Friends of EKU Libraries?

The Friends of EKU Libraries organization is made up of fine individuals who believe in the wonderful difference libraries make in the lives of students and who choose specifically to support EKU Libraries with annual support, endowments and legacy gifts.

Over the past few years, Friends have made possible:

  • Special programming like the Live @ Your Library series

  • The Noel Studio for Academic Creativity to provide first-class research, writing and oral communication support to Eastern's students in a beautiful and innovative space

  • Dewey, a golf cart to facilitate the quick delivery of important library materials to faculty, staff and students across our entire campus

  • Countless pieces of artwork by Kentucky artists to beautify and inspire students using the John Grant Crabbe Main Library

  • Scholarships for exceptional library student employees

  • The historical marker outside the Main Library which serves to educate our University Community about the rich history of the John Grant Crabbe Main Library

...and so much more!
